After you have installed Skype you can test to see if your headset/speakers/microphone are working by selecting Tools > Options > Audio settings.
There's an option in that same page (Audio settings) to make a test call.


Important tip: to call any phone in the US or Canada free!
Here's how to call any phone...  Select the 'Dial' Tab. Then click on any number on the on-screen number pad.  That opens an input field near the bottom of the page which has a white background.  Select this input field by clicking on it.  Now backspace over the number you just entered and enter the number you want to dial, starting with a plus symbol then 1 then area code & number.  It should look like this...
+ 1 541 515 5913 if you were calling our support number. You don't need to put in spaces, though.  We just did that to make the number look familiar to you.

If you're calling Skype to Skype you don't even dial, you just use the 'Contacts' Tab and click ViewTouch
